Actually, I trust this guy 100% because I met him in the Yahoo Q/A forum & a few of the people there know him personally. Some have met him & even bought trained dogs from him. He’s a professional dog trainer & a bomb dog handler. We met each other in the Dog Section. I know he’s definitely not a fake at all. I just wanna know if it’s okay for me to date a much much older? I prob will only start dating him when I move to the States. By then I’ll be 20++.

I’m 19 and I’m dating a guy 8 years older than me..
But things aren’t working out cuz he’s ready to settle down with a family and I’m not. He wants kids within the next few years.. I don’t.

The problem with age gap is that we’re at different points in our lives. If I were 25 then maybe i would be thinking about kids and stuff. If he was closer to my age then he wouldn’t be thinking about marriage and kids as much ..
We want completely different things..
But he’s such a sweetheart.

As long as you click, then some age gap isn’t a problem. But to date someone old enough to be a parent or child is not entirely healthy in my opinion. No disrespect to anyone who has though.

My best friend is just acting silly. He called me today, and I told him I was going to the movie, and he was like “you’re going out with your grandpa” Now I’m lol, but when he said it, I felt like hanging up on him. My boyfriend cannot be my grandpa; he could be my dad, but not my grandpa. My best friend hes acting jealous, perhaps he thinks that having a bf, I’m going to stop talking to him. I told by bf and she was stunned at first, but said that she was the last person to judge. She said that as long as I am happy, that is all that matters. I can tell you that in time the age difference will not be so prominenet. Just focus on how he treats you and how you treat him. My man is jealous too, but not possessive. He knows that I still have a life of my own, but that I love him very much. One last thing, you cannot live your life for other people. Be truly happy for yourself.

I felt bad, telling my best f. that I was dating and older men, he made me feel so bad. He said that I don’t go out enough, that I need to go out more, so I could meet guys, I hate going out to clubs, is not my style. I don’t see anything wrong dating older men. You’re absolutely right about guys our age are full of crap. After I spoke to my bf, I felt kind of embarrass, about dating older men. I know I shouldn’t worry about what people think of me. I’m glad there’re other people like me.

He also treats me like a queen, but he’s too jealous, I guess is b/c age different, I’m glad I see pl, like me theyre dating older men, I confessed to best friend that my bf is way older than me, and he was so mad at me, he was telling that I should date guys my age, He wants me to go to Martini Bar, and sit in the bar, looking pretty and I’m going to see, how guys are going to talk to me.

I have thought …
I have thought about that myself. His kids are grown, and he says that he is not closed to having another child in the future. But, I worry about losing him and having our child miss out on such a loving man. This could happen to anyone, but his advanced age makes it harder to ignore. Life is about taking chances. You have to know that this is a chance you are taking with anyone, not just him.

I am 29, and the guy I am dating is 62. We have this unbelievable chemistry and can talk forever. He treats me like a queen. I have not felt this way in a long time and I don’t want it to end. I do not see his age because it does not matter. He is sincere and honest. Guys my own age are full of crap and I can’t deal with it. My mother gave me a great piece of advice: Do not limit yourself on love. I finally listened. You cannot live your life for other people.

age doesnt show how mature a man can be. it depends on the past experiences of that guy. personally i say girls should date guys their age, or younger. i mean a guy who is 3 years older than a girl is close but thats it. think about it. if your a 45 year old woman would you really have fun with ur man whos 70? didnt think so. but my point is, its best to find a person your age, and who youve known for a long time, chances are that relationship will be the most powerful.

Not true. I date older men because Im 18 and do not want to deal with the immaturity of 18 year old men who act like children. Im in university and its clear that the men here are looking for a good time with no commitment. An older man knows what hes doing and how to be a good boyfriend.
