Take your husband to an ENT surgeon. e must be having sinus or deviated septum which causes blockages in the nose. This can be cured. I am also having similar problem My wife snores. I got used to it now. I wake up only when she does not snore to check whether she is breathing or not.
References :
UGH!!! My fiance says the same thing! "Go to sleep and you won't hear me!" and "God! I can't make ANY noise with you trying to sleep!"

It's not MY fault I can't fall asleep with what sounds like a jackhammer lying next to me in bed...
References :
I would say yes, it might throw up some complication in the future, bcoz we have to give our body and brain considerable amount of rest everyday, other it wont function as we would like it to do. Dont take me worng, i can see you more concerned about you than everyone here, i would say let us focus on the broader picture! and find a solution for the familt as a whole.

Rather than running from the problem, why cant we face it, I mean there are some natural way by which these problem can be cured, why cant you both go and consult a yoga specialist and learn some breathing exercises and mediation exercises. This way you and your husband will benefit in overcoming all the difficulties in the night and you might know yoga will bring positive energy on us, so overall you will have greater benefits in a long run and you both will have some peaceful sleep and spend more good time on your other activities.

More than exercises, its depends mainly on attitude of the individuals, I can see from your statement that your husband uses a machine when ever it is convenient for him, if i am not wrong he might probably lazy about doing thing or totally forgets it to do. So i would say to you talk through him, list out the problem you are facing and he might face in the future and come to a common ground and decide on a effective permanent solution (like yoga) probably anything else which i might not probably know about.

One thing you must have in your mind, determination is very important to succeed anything we like to do.

"the will to succeed can overcome the greatest adversity"

I hope i have made some good sense to you, and i wish everything goes well with you and your family...all the best....cheers...
References :
Yes, get your husband to see a sleep study doctor. He may be suffering sleep apnia, Or worse. Get relief for his snoring and you will also sleep better.
References :
There are some things you can buy from the pharmacy that stick on his nose to keep it open. Might be worth trying.
References :
Yes, it's causing you problems. My husband does the same thing, plus smoker's cough all night, although he isn't on CPAP. I never get enough sleep, I feel tired and cranky, and he thinks it's just me being a b*tch. I love the man, but I swear I am ready for separate rooms, or even separate houses. It's getting to where things that didn't used to bug me now drive me crazy and I am not happy. Lack of good sleep is making me into someone even I don't like.
so I feel for you, wish I knew what the solution was.
References :
Can me losing sleep due to husband snoring cause health problems? I'm always tired and get headaches weekly.
I have to nudge my husband to stop his snoring. He gets upset and yells to me, "go back to sleep and U won't hear me snoring" How can I go back to sleep if his snoring is keeping me awake? To top it off he has a CPAP machine and only uses it when its convenient for him. I've slept in the daughter's room when she's not there and sleeping on the couch is out of the question. I can still hear him. I've also tried ear plugs that doesn't work either. Now, I'm afraid that my health and well being are at risk. I'm tired when I wake up, I have numbing headaches more than normal (which feels like my brain is spasming) and sex is the last thing on my mind.
