    And what was so terrible that they were allowing?
    These are people, like any other kind of people.
    They deserve to be happy, which is what the Lord truly desires of His children (that is, all humans). Not punishment.

    California was a progressive state in the sense that it allowed a typically opressed group to be trated just the same as any other citizen of the united States, or any other human being for that matter.
